Doubao Seed 1.8 is ByteDance's next-generation Doubao model, served through Volcengine, with improved reasoning, enhanced capabilities, and better overall performance than the previous Seed generation. It supports reasoning, tool use (function calling), and prompt caching, and it is the newest member of the Doubao Seed line on Ofox.
